The drive to The Hess Collection is a scenic winding forest road which was named for several Redwood Mills that once produced lumber to help build San Francisco.
From Highway 29 take the Trancas Street / Redwood Road Exit. Turn left onto Redwood Road and follow approximately 7 miles. Your trip to the winery from Highway 29 will be about 10-15 minutes.
Please Note: Just off the highway, Redwood Road starts out as a four-lane residential road that will narrow down to a two-lane country road. You will need to stay in the left lane of traffic as this will continue to Redwood Road. The right lane will take you to Dry Creek Road.
At the junction of Redwood Road and Browns Valley Road you will notice the first of two Hess Collection signs. Continue straight to follow Redwood Road.
The second Hess Collection sign is located at the junction of Redwood Road and Mt. Veeder Road. At this junction make a left hand turn to continue onto Redwood Road. The Hess Collection is on the left hand side of Redwood Road, just past Mont LaSalle.
